The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) is a private, non-for-profit college dedicated to providing the world’s best professional culinary education.
Excellence, leadership, professionalism, ethics and respect for diversity are the core values shared at the three CIA branches: Hyde Park New York, San Antonio Texas and their west coast campus, our inspiration for this brand; CIA at Greystone.
The historic Greystone is rich with epicurean history. Back in the early 1900’s, Greystone was home to the Christian Brothers Winery, founded by winemaker emeritus Brother Timothy Diener.
Today, the former winery is home to The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone and the inspiration for our Greystone Cellars labels, Brother Timothy’s world-renowned corkscrew collection, consisting of over 1,000 corkscrews collected over 50-years.
Neighboring Winemaker, Kimberlee Nicholls and Bryan Del Bondio, President of Markham Vineyards have been partners with the CIA to source and produce Greystone Cellars for the past 12 years.
With the national launch of Greystone Cellars® wines, the CIA and Markham Vineyards bring the highest-quality California wines at the best possible value to a larger audience. Greystone wines are approachable, easy to drink, and befitting their connection to the CIA, enhance the culinary experience of any meal at which they are served.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Greystone Cellars® wines will benefit The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, a not-for-profit institute of higher education.
The mission is simple. To produce the highest-quality California wines at the best possible value. Greystone wines are approachable, easy to drink, and enhance your culinary experience.
